Our club was founded in 1989 as a joint venture with folks from Kings Point, but split into two separate groups shortly thereafter. The original configuration consisted of individually owned 2 X 4 foot modules bolted together for running wherever show space was available. Eventually, it became a fixed structure when we were awarded shared space in the Heritage Room.
Moving ahead, we moved to our current location in 2003 and began construction of the HO scale layout that you see here today. In 2017 we started a new project; N Scale! At roughly 1/2 the size of HO, N Scale can pack the same operations in only half of the space. In addition, the N Scale layout is dual mode; analog DC as well as Digital Command Control. The HO layout operates under Digital Command Control; the entire operation can be controlled by a computer operating 10 trains at once! Pretty cool, huh?
We offer all levels of operation; whether you ran an old train around an oval or are the electronics expert, we accept and encourage people of any level to come and have fun. Now in our 39th year, we keep chugging along; join us!
